New Art Exhibition Featuring
LORRAINE RIMMELIN
At Riverhead Town Hall Gallery

(RIVERHEAD, NY, May 27, 2015) –– East End Arts is pleased to announce a new art exhibit at the Riverhead Town Hall Gallery featuring watercolor painter Lorraine Rimmelin of Mastic Beach. The exhibition will open on Friday, June 5 and will run through September 1, 2015, and can be visited during Town Hall open office hours: Mondays through Fridays, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Riverhead Town Hall is located at 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, NY (corner of Howell and East Main Street; 631-727-3200). The public is welcome; admission is free. All exhibited work is for sale. Lorraine Rimmelin is a New York-based artist specializing in watercolor painting. She uses an explosion of colors to capture the likeness of flowers, animals and landscapes. Her dramatic water view paintings are inspired by her love of the south shore of Long Island, where she resides in her beach-side bungalow. Lorraine is a Signature Member of the North East Watercolor Society. She has had her paintings displayed in several prestigious galleries including a solo show in New York City. After a long and fulfilling career as a hair designer, colorist and salon owner, she has transformed her love of shape, color and design into an award-winning profession of limitless pleasure. The Riverhead Town Hall art exhibits are a collaborative effort on the part of East End Arts and the Township of Riverhead to support local artists and introduce their works to the community.

ART ASSOCIATION 58th ANNUAL MEMBERS EXHIBIT

Entries: Entry fee
= $10 per piece, 2 pieces maximum.
Entry fees are non-refundable.

All checks must be made to South Bay Art Association (SBAA)
Entries must be original in concept and execution, created
within two years and not
previously exhibited in any SBAA Members Exhibition. This is a
fine arts exhibit and no crafts will be accepted. Works must be suitably framed
and wired for hanging, no “sawtooth” hangers or similar types of hanging devices.
Unframed canvases with exposed staples will not be accepted. No wet works.
Dimensions: One piece
of the two may not exceed 30”x40”, the remaining piece may not exceed 30” in
any dimension, including the frame. If the base of a sculpture exceeds 12” x
12” and requires a pedestal, the artist must supply the pedestal (preferably
flat black finish) at check-in. SBAA reserves the right to refuse any work due
to space limitations or as deemed unacceptable for any reason by the Receiving
Committee.
THIS IS AN
OPEN SHOW: No specific categories but do identify the medium on your I.D.
label which will be affixed to the back of your work.
Please Note: Any flat work which has been digitally enhanced
with image-altering
software must be indicated as “digitally enhanced” on the
registration form.
Judging: Ribbons
may be awarded for “Best in Show, “First”, “Second”, “Third”, and
10 “Honorable
Mention” Awards. Decisions of the judges are final.
Sales: Entries must
be offered for sale and the price will be listed on the entry form.
Prices will appear in the exhibition catalog. The BAHC Phoenix
will assess a 30%
commission on all works sold at the Phoenix during this exhibit.
Artwork sold may not be removed during the exhibit.
Liability
and Responsibility: The registration liability release must be signed.
Exhibitors are required to contribute several hours to the
exhibit in some capacity. SBAA members should be there to meet and greet
visitors.

The Bellport Chamber of Commerce is looking for original artwork or photos for the 2015 Festival Poster!
The Bellport Chamber has for the last 32 Years produced a festival poster for the community. Each year poster subject is selected by either a contest; seasonal current event or we select well-known local artists to produce the poster. This year is an open contest that will be judged by our chamber members and local residents. Subject should show seasonal fun or special attractions you love in Bellport.
Please submit all works to Bellport Arts & Framing Studio location: 137 South Country Rd., Bellport.

Hours of drop off Wed - Sat 11am - 5pm.
All original artwork or photos only please. Size limit: no smaller than 8 X 10 and maximum size of 24 X 36. Final piece will be scaled to fit an 18 X 24 poster size. (Horizontal or Vertical welcomed) Use any medium desired, no 3 dimensional works will be accepted only drawings and feel free to make them as colorful as you wish. Please have all work ready to be hung for competition. The image selected becomes the property of the chamber but the original belongs to the artist.
Drop off Date: All work can be submitted between April 20th -Saturday, June 6.
$10 per submission minimum of 3 per artist. All work must be framed and wired to be hung in an exhibit for judging. Please indicate if you are selling your artwork and price. There will be a 20% commission on all work sold during the show but no art will be sold until the end of the exhibit. Please include on all artwork name, phone contact, email, and home address.
