PALS art show

1st Annual PALS Plein Air Art Show "Capturing Long Island"

Many sbaa members have been painting with PALS this year.

Cornucopia! Open Call to Artists

Cornucopia will be the next show at Phoenix Gallery in Bellport-

Cornucopia: bees, flowers, fruits, and vegetables. The word is a symbol of abundance dating back to at least the 5th century.

Receiving is November 1st Noon - 4 pm

Reception is November 9th 1 - 3 pm

Take Down is November 28th, which is also receiving for the Holiday Show, Noon - 4 pm

Moving Sale

As we all know, longtime SBAA member Br Gerard Cormier will be relocating soon. A Moving sale will take place on Saturday October 16th at 287 South Country Road in Brookhaven, beginning at 9 am. Several types of furniture will be offered: Shaker, Mission, Craftsman as well as handcrafted. In addition there will be lamps, tables, and fans.
Proceeds of the sale are to benefit the Marist Community.

Several SBAA members earned awards at the recent Phoenix Gallery Juried Show- the winners are:

Best in Show: Joseph Dlhopolsky, for his photo, "Nymphaea"

1st Place: Donna Harlow Moraff, for her pastel, "Interior with Maine Coons"

2nd Place: Marlene Bezich for her pastel, "Sea Hunt"

3rd Place: Mary Jane Stevens, for her watercolor, "September Bouquet"

Honorable Mention: Eddie Rehm, for his mixed media, "You won't, I might"
