BIOGRAPHY

Pam Brown received her B.F.A. from Alfred State College of Ceramics in New York, and her M.F.A. from Mason Gross School of Art, Rutgers University, in New Jersey. She also studied at Rhinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute of Art, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine, and the Fine Arts Work center in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

She was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts, a New Jersey State Visual Artist Grant, and, more recently, a Special Opportunity Stipend (SOS) from the New York Foundation for the Arts.

Her large-scale public sculptures were installed at Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, NY, Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island, NY, Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park in Brooklyn, NY, Long Island University in Brookville, NY, the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN, and the Chesterwood Preservation in Stockbridge, MA. Her most recent solo exhibitions were at the Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, VA, the Fayerweather Gallery at the University of Virginia, and the Anthony Giordano Gallery, Dowling College, NY. Additionally, Pam has exhibited her small-scale sculpture in New York and throughout the eastern U.S. for the past 20 years. Presently, she teaches sculpture and is the director/curator of the Anthony Giordano Gallery, Dowling College, in Oakdale, NY.

SBAA Member's Exhibit

For the first time the Show will be held at Phoenix Fine Arts Gallery at 139 S. Country Rd in Bellport!
We are excited to have such a polished and professional venue to showcase the talents of our members! Over 140 pieces of original art will be on display during regular gallery hours over a two week period!
This show is the kickoff for the Bellport ArtScene which promises even more exciting art events throughout the summer!
